Today, Caedmon Howell and company set off at 5am for the first day of driving, totaling 13 hours. They stopped in Evanston Wyoming (the origin of the name of the beloved Evan guy) for some lunch at Judy's diner. Overall 8/19 dinning experience. They then stopped in the great salt lake desert to see the very bright salt. They rounded out their day at Koreana Korean Cuisine for a 8.5/10 dining experience in Winnemucca Nevada. Caedmon hit the hotel gym for upper body while the others took showers.

   Hello. Today on Caedmon Vacation featuring Cosette and Ella, we journeyed from our hotel in Winnemucca to Reno (2 hours) for coffee (6.5/10) and bagels (9.2/10).

From there, we drove onwards towards Clear lake (3.5 hours). Before we arrived, we ate at a Mexican place (9/10).

Once we arrived at Clear Lake, we saw many cool things such as overpriced gas, a very large dead fish and a dog with very intact balls.

Oh, and a lake.

We moved on from there to the Avenue of Giants which is a scenic route running parallel to route 101 to view the Redwoods. We temporarily stopped to take some photos and enjoy nature, before journeying to our AirBnB in Trinidad to stay.

Tomorrow we will try Coffee Enemas and hike.

A beautiful day in the redwoods...

   We fell asleep to rain last night and woke up to a foggy moist morning. After our delicious bowl of Cheerios we set off for our day! Our first hike could not be more beautiful with this adventurous weather! We did 4 hikes today ending with grove of the titans, the trees where of large size. We saw at least 4 trees today. Ella made friends with a retired couple from Bulgaria on our hike who now live in Australia, we saw them later that day in a different area! Crazy right?! Even more wild there were monkeys birds bears and dinosaurs in the woods (turns out it was Ella Caedmon and Cosette) we ate a sandwich on the beach. Bussin. After our long day of hiking we grubbed at this place by the ocean, it was pretty good, Ella didn't know what calamari was and asked for the calamari fries. She now knows what it is. Caedmon ate a WHOLE plate of different kinds of fish, Cosette had a classic chicken Alfredo. Of course we wanted dessert too it's too much to describe but everyone had a bit of ice cream. I'd go back for the ice cream but not the calamari.

On the road again!!

Today Caedmon and party ventured north up the 101. They stopped at a couple of beaches to climb some big rocks and search for crabs. Made a quick trip the the dragonfly farm, where they were slightly disappointed that they, in fact, didn't raise dragonflies but rather plants. Also stopping by a beary farm to pick up some locally made jams.

They ended their day in Eugene Oregon to visit some of Cosette's online friends and to stay for the night. After pizza and ice cream with said friends Caedmon and Ella went back to the Airbnb while Cosette went off galavanting, never to be seen again.

   This glorious hump day.

Caedmon and associates made their way to silver falls to attempt the 10 falls hike. Thought they only made it through 7 of the water falls it was a beautiful morning. From there they headed to the Easy Otter in Salem Oregon (not the same Salem as the witch trials by the way). There they had amazing 10/10 food. Continuing their journey to another hike to a beautiful view, they slightly regretted their decision to hike 8+ miles.

They finished out the day in Tillamook with some homemade chicken Alfredo fettuccine, eager to gnaw on some cheese the next day.

   After many days of travel. Caedmon and squad needed a chill day filled with cheese. The only plan was to take a cheese tour at Tillamook creamery. They also spent much more on Tillamook merch than they would care to admit. Other than a quick trip to the beach they spent the day resting, reading, and playing games. 

Another day on the road!

Today Caedmon and the gang mostly did traveling from Tillamook Oregon to MT Rainier. Other than a delightful time reading and writing at a coffee shop before they left, all the events of today were driving, eating in Portland, and grocery shopping.

   Today, Caedmon and crew attempted to do a hike in Mt Rainier. However, the one they planned to do had 10ft of snow on it and the one they attempted was more difficult than expected. They neither finished the hike nor got to see MT Rainier due to it being cloudy. However they did get to see a train and have a home cooked steak meal.

    Today, Caedmon and fam went to the mountain goat coffee shop before their travels to Tacoma. On the way they stopped in Buckley to look at cute shops that weren't open because it's Sunday. Then made their way to the Tacoma glass museum (Caedmon’s favorite is the shark). They then made their way to the Airbnb in a bus for some s'mores and games.  

   This fine Monday. Caedmon and troop made their way into Seattle. First going to the Zoo, in which they saw many empty enclosures. Then to Pike Place where they asked the kind cyder vendor man his food recommendations. In which he suggested an Italian place with the best homemade noodles they had ever had. They enjoyed it so much they went back to the cyder vendor man for dessert recommendations. He recommended the mini donuts which were also very good. After that adventure they went to an escape room and escaped a couple seconds late..

They are now in the northern cascades inn for the night. Excited to see the cascades tomorrow.

   Today, Caedmon and team made their way into Canada after stopping in the North cascades for a hike. They spent most the time in the car and a mall. Cosette and Ella also went day drinking because they can in Canada but Cosette had Caedmon choose her drink because she doesn't know her drinks.  

  Day one in Canada eh. Caedmon and fellowship had an unfortunate Frisbee golf game in the morning. Taking 4 disks from them and the extremely unfortunate learning experience of why stinging nettle is called stinging nettle.

After mourning the disks and their legs, they made their way to an amazing breakfast place in Vancouver and the mall. After much shopping and gallivanting they went to Stanley Park for some ice cream and scenic views.

The rest of the day was them walking down the same street back and forth trying to decide where to eat and then reading.

Today (technically yesterday), Caedmon and fellow compatriots made the 8 hour drive to Creston BC. There they had the best homemade noodles, even topping the ones they had in Seattle. They then debated if they should try and cut their trip short by leaving Canada today instead of tomorrow... They then spent 3 hours trying to leave the country because they went to 2 boarder crossings to find them closed for the day. Finally making it across at the third one.

  To finish up the trip we ended up driving until 3 AM, at which point we stayed in a hotell in Wyoming. We then proceeded to wake up at 7 AM to finish the drive home for some much needed alone time and rest.
